Dr. Kevin Giunta received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. Immediately following graduation from chiropractic college, Dr. Giunta practiced in Kansas City, Missouri, before returning to his home state of New Jersey. He opened his practice Riverside Chiropractic in Harrison, New Jersey, which he owned and operated for 10 years. In the fall of 2009, he left New Jersey to help support chiropractic in Brazil, where he practiced for 1 Year. In the summer of 2010 he returned to the United States and practiced in New Jersey with a multi-disciplinary practice for 3 years.
Dr. Giunta is full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART), a patented soft tissue system that uses active motion and stretching techniques to treat muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. He is certified in Graston Technique which is an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), technique used to treat muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia and nerves. Dr. Giunta also is certified in Spider-Tech kinesio taping. He also practices Diversified Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Thompson Drop and Cox-Flexion Distraction. Dr. Giunta is a National Registry Certified Medical Examiner (NRCME), Department Of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner, performing DOT medical exams for all commercial vehicle drivers (CDL). Presently Dr. Giunta is completing his training in functional medicine to expand his area of practice and help chronically ill patients.
He is also an active member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC). He is very passionate about health and a balanced lifestyle that includes proper exercise, sleep, diet and social community. In his spare time, Dr. Giunta is a Black Belt in Daito-Ryu Akijujitsu which is traditional Japanese Jujitsu
